MetroSport is Finland’s largest student sports and wellness event, taking place this year on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Töölön Kisahalli in Helsinki. The event is organized by the student union METKA’s MetroSport working group, together with numerous partners and volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of roles, including first aid, security, info desk, and event photography. Depending on the role, shifts will take place between 8 AM and 9 PM.
As a volunteer, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in organizing a large-scale event and get to network with people working in sports and wellness. All volunteers will receive snacks during the day, a small thank-you gift, and a certificate of participation.

1. Info Desk. Help visitors at the information point, guide them to different areas of the venue, distribute flyers and freebies, and keep the info area clean and organized. Languages: Finnish / English
2. First Aid. Be on call at the first aid station and provide assistance if needed. Note: EA1 certification or equivalent training/skills required.
3. Security Assistance Help maintain safety and order at the event, and prevent disturbances in the venue. Note: You can apply without a security license – we will provide all necessary briefings.
4. Communications & Social Media Take photos and videos of the event, conduct short interviews with visitors and partners, and assist with creating content for social media. Note: Experience with a DSLR camera and/or video equipment is required.
