Sports at MetroSport

At MetroSport, students have the chance to try out a wide variety of sports and meet sports and wellness organizations from both the Helsinki metropolitan area and across Finland. We are now looking for sports partners to help us make this experience possible.

MetroSport is open and free of charge to all students in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The core idea is to inspire visitors to try new sports and physical activities in a low-threshold environment, and perhaps even spark a new hobby. The event is, of course, substance-free and accessible, with a strong focus on promoting both physical and mental well-being.

Our goal is to offer the broadest possible platform for sports tryouts – and that’s why all ideas and activities are welcome.

In Finland, you can play rugby in teams of 15 or 7, and you can even play without contact, a variation known as “touch rugby”.
